Golf at Sunnfjord Golfklubb
At Sunnfjord Golf Club a nice, new 9-hole golf course (par 70) was opened at the south western end of the Lake Jølster in June 2000. The course is situated approx. 25 km. from the hotel offering a game of golf for 9 or 18 holes (par 70) on a challenging forest course in majestic and spectacular fjord nature. On the premises you willl also find a small pro shop, driving range, practice green, practice bunker as well as practice areas for chipping and pitching. Skei Hotel is one of the main sponsors of the golf club and can offer a greenfee discount for hotel guests wanting to play golf here. Please contact the reception for further information.

Rafting
Jølster Rafting is one of the most active rafting clubs in the country arranging several rafting trips during the week in the summer season. In Jølster you will find some of the most spectacular rafting rivers in Norway and Northern Europe. The most exciting, fun and action-packed adventure possible in the beautiful setting of Fjord Norway. Whether you are a novice to the sport or a thrill-seeking expert, we have rapids to challenge all skill levels.

Glacier tours

Glacier Team is a firm based on old glacier traditions in Jølster, organising glacier and mountain tours in Norway, mainly on the Jostedals glacier, the biggest glacier on the European continent and the surrounding mountain area. The community of Jølster is a natural pearl in the heart of the Norwegian fjords, surrounded by mountains and lakes. The Jostedals glacier and Jølster represent a great potential of exiting, natural experience to which we are ready to introduce you. We arrange day tours on the glacier, glacier courses, and pack tours in Norway for everyone! Mountain walks
Around Lake Jølster there are more than 30 valleys stretching all the way from the tiny villages and into the mountains, mountain farms and the Glaciers. In a lot of these valleys there are signposted walking paths. The terrain varies from easy walking to more challenging paths, and is consequently very suitable for mountain walks for people at all ages. A map of the area with suggested mountain walks can be bought at the reception or the tourist information.

Sports fishing
Jølster is an eldorado for sports fishing. There are in total approx. 600 lakes and mountain waters suitable for fishing in Jølster and the adjoining mountain areas. In Lake Jølster, the rivers and small waters sports fishing is allowed with a fishing license. You can buy the license at the tourist information and at the hotel reception. For a guided fishing trip, please contact [Norsk Fiskesenter] located at Vassenden, approx. 25 km. from the hotel.

Horseback riding
Norsk Fjordhestgard in Breim (approx. 25 km. from the hotel) arranges short and long riding trips or -safaris with or without staying outdoors overnight. You can also have riding instruction at the farm itself. Please note that registrations for the trips or enrolment for riding lessons must be made directly to Norsk Fjordhestgard.
