Skei Hotel was founded more than 118 years ago. Back then the hotel accommodated both Norwegian and foreign travellers and it was a popular resort hotel for sports fishermen from Great Britain coming to fish in Lake Jølster. The hotel has since then been considerably rebuilt and extended several times, and today it enjoys a fine international reputation as a modern, very comfortable and well-run resort hotel with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

Skei Hotel is a family hotel and is today owned and run by the 3rd and 4th generation of the family Skrede.
